The Big Bang Theory ~ Sheldon As Raj's Wing Man ~ With Danica McKellar
This is a clip from the recent episode of The Big Bang Theory with Sheldon (Jim Parsons) helping Raj (Kunal Nayyar) at a party all the while carrying an authentic "Green Lantern" Green Lantern, and yes, that's Danica McKellar (Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years) as the girl Raj tries to hit on.
On Your Mark!: The 16th Season Of The Amazing Race Set To Kick Off Feb 14th
One of the most popular shows of all time is coming back for it's 16th season on CBS. The Amazing Race starts on February 14th. As usual the teams will race around the world, visiting nine countries, spanning five continents. One cool team is Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder who were in last season's Big Brother 11 (with Jordan won). I remember watching the show and Jordan mentioned she wanted to go on The Amazing Race. So this should be interesting.
Other racers will include Caite Upton and her boyfriend, Brent Horne (Upton was Miss South Carolina Teen USA in 2007), Steve Smith who is the 3rd base-coach for the Cleveland Indians along with his daughter Allie, and a 71-year-old grandmother and her granddaughter named Shannon. Several other teams are made up of cowboys, high-school sweethearts, detectives, a lesbian pair and a couple of moms who are also attorneys.

The Hunt For Gollum ~ Cool Video That's a Prequel To LOTR
Have you seen this? The Hunt For Gollum is an award winning unofficial prequel to The Lord of the Rings and shows Aragorn & Gandalf's long search for Gollum. This 40 minute film cost less that 5 grand to make, and is a homage to Peter Jackson's trilogy and the writing of J.R.R. Tolkien.
This is a short movie that you shouldn't miss if you are a Tolkien and LOTR fan.
Kiefer Sutherland Caught Up In Cattle Scam
"Dude, I've got this GREAT investment for you!" Keifer Sutherland: "What is it?" Other guy: "CATTLE!"
What is wrong with this picture? Who invests in cattle of all things? Well, it looks like Keifer did and he supposedly got scammed out of over $800,000 dollars for his trouble. Apparently Sutherland's advisor told the 24 star that this was a good idea (I wonder if he's fired yet) and that this guy he was investing with would purchase cattle from Mexico and sell them for a profit in the U.S.
Several people join Sutherland in being duped by this guy who took money (at least a mill total) and cattle and now it's all gone. One other guy says he "loaned" the alleged criminal 54 head of cattle and now they're gone too. The suspect, Michael Wayne Carr, faces 12 felony charges, among them multiple counts of grand theft, forgery, embezzlement, obtaining money by false pretenses and falsifying corporate books.
There are so many circle the wagons and brokeback mountain jokes just waiting to be said.

Behind The Scenes Of Avatar ~ The Process Of Performance Capture
An intriguing look behind the scenes of the making of the box office smash Avatar and the process used to capture the actors in an almost life-like animation. From interviews with Jake Sully who plays Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana (Neytiri) and director James Cameron, with side by side shots of the actors in their weird bodysuits and the results from the film. All in all, pretty cool.
And there's word of a possible sequel to Avatar from Cameron having to do with the moons orbiting the planet Pandora, but he's just in preliminary discussions, so it could be years before we see any action on Avatar 2: Tokyo Drift ~ just kidding about that title, but Cameron is notoriously slow moving on getting projects started.

Tobey Maguire; Sam Raimi Out ~ Won't Be In Spidey 4!
The word is that both out for Spiderman 4, with production pushed back to 2012 as the braintrust at Sony scrambles to rustle up a Peter Parker and director.
Raimi helmed the first three Spiderman blockbusters all with Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spiderman battling against various super-villans garnering bucketloads of money at the box office (and in after sales like merchandise), but that's all over. There was some talk of Maguire being in the upcoming version of The Hobbit, but Maguire quashed that saying he hadn't spoken with anyone involved and his participation was simply gossip.
Because of problems with the latest installment of the Spiderman franchise (supposedly script re-writes), production was stalled, and Marvel Studios started pushing to get the new Thor movie, starring Australian newcomer Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, fast-tracked. Filming on that movie began yesterday.
Don't know what to make of this move by the studios. There are rumors that Spidey 4 is supposed to be more about teenaged Peter Parker, and Maguire, 33, may be a little long in the tooth to play a youthful Spiderman. It seems sort of like they are trying to take a page from Batman Begins, with a new take on Spiderman's origins, BUT, wasn't that all taken care of in Spiderman back in 2002 when Maguire took on the role?
As far as Maguire himself, he has tons of films lined up: The Details, a dark comedy due out this year, as well as The Crusaders a story about segregation. He also has at least ten more films in the pipeline for the next several years, as well as the critically acclaimed Brothers which was just recently released.
Raimi also has a very busy itinerary for the next five years, with 3 movies out this year, two more the next and several television projects on the backburner.
Guess we'll need to get more information before we find out the real cause of the split between Raimi/Maguire and Sony. What's your take on this mess?

Conan O'Brien Being Wooed By Fox
It looks like Fox Television is trying to snag Conan O'Brien who is getting the boot from the coveted 11:35pm timeslot by NBC to put Jay Leno back in his old spot. The problem is how will O'Brien remove the shackles of his contract with NBC? Suppoedly he will continue as host of "The Tonight Show", but at what hour will it be aired? Conan's contract doesn't say what time he goes on.
It all smacks of desperation on the Network's part, as they are desperately trying to staunch the outflow of ad revenue. Both sides don't want this to become a legal matter (sounds like veiled threats, don't it?), and want the matter fixed in-house.
If O'Brien does jump to Fox, NBC could insist that he not be allowed to start a show for as long as a year, for cometitive reasons. It sounds like they want to keep Conan on a short leash, and doing what the network wants and he had better like it too! Another sore point is that NBC claims that now that O'Brien has hosted the Tonight Show, they are not liable to pay a $45 million penalty to O'Brien due if he never hosted the show.
Conan's getting elbowed aside. It's like "We gave ya a shot and it didn't work out, so buh-bye" if he doesn't like the new terms they've blindsided him with. Shoddy and petty treatment for someone who has worked hard for years to have his employer just remove O'Brien like this.
