Recent Emmy Winner Archie Panjabi On Her Role In The Good Wife
Archie Panjabi just won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her work as Kalinda Sharma on the CBS series The Good Wife. The striking 38-year-old hails from Middlesex England and has done some fine work over the last 15 years or so. She had a smaller part in the film Bend It Like Beckham with Parminder Nagra and Keira Knightley and just finished a 5 episode run of Personal Affairs before joining the cast of The Good Wife with veterans Julianna Margulies and Chris Noth.
When the series first aired it seemed to be simply a short story about a woman (Margulies) coping with the infidelities of her husband (Noth) which I figured wuld be yet another boring re-telling of that old tale.
The series keeps being raised to my attention and that of others as a quality drama with excellent character development. I'll have to take a look again. And Panjabi's character just from the clip seems intriguing enough to warrant a further review.

Video: Christina Hendricks Discusses Mad Men Season 4 & Emmy Nomination
Mad Men's Christina Hendricks discusses the new season of the Emmy nominated hit series and what to expect for her character on the show, Joan Holloway. Almost didn't recognize the buxon redhead as she seems almost blond in this video.
Hendricks is also up for an Emmy herself, as she was nominated for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her work on Mad Men.
Along with Hendricks, cast member Elisabeth Moss (who plays Peggy Olson) received the nod from the Emmys with a nomination. Their competition this year includes Sharon Gless for "Burn Notice", Rose Byrne for "Damages", Archie Panjabi and Christine Baranski, both for "The Good Wife".
The series itself is up for Outstanding Drama Series again, as is lead actor Jon Hamm, January Jones and John Slattery.
